Baby, it’s cold outside — and when you’re dressing for two..
Now that I Gave birth to my second baby and ready to leave my Maternity Wardrobe, I decided to share my Magical Body Change with you. When I found out I was pregnant for the second time , I was sure that this time I would not sacrifice an ounce of my fashion sense to pregnancy. During my First pregnancy, I didn’t try to embrace my body changes and ended up making major Fashion mistakes. I made wrong choices such as wearing wide and loose dresses and the so cliché “Tights with Slouchy Tops”. The result was that I turned out looking Bulkier and bigger.
This time , I Chose to achieve my goal which was to look always stylish and polished. I believed that my decision will have a positive impact on my wellbeing. But, I wondered If I would be able to maintain my pulled together style throughout nine months of pregnancy? Deep in my heart I knew I would achieve it! The key point was just to be able to know my body very well and accept the massive shape change aka new curves during my pregnancy journey.
My First tip for People who have a body shape which is similar to mine is to go for items that define their Belly/Bump in a proper way. I bought bodycon dresses in every colour ;Black, Dark Green, Bordeaux and styled them with Leather Jacket and flats for my daily wear; changing into sleeveless waist Coat and high knee boots for my date nights and Outings. They are ideal for your growing bump as they stretch out with it.
Second Tip is that accessorise their looks with Scarves /shawls and Big Bags to hide their growing bellies or at least give the illusion the same way Grace Kelly did while attempting to hide her private “baby bump” with her Hermès bag!
Third one was the low Budget Mama clothes from H&M and Maternity Ware from Zara. Their Mama Jeans and formal Trousers are very cosy and so comfy that I could walk or work in them for hours without any feeling of discomfort. I should mention that I would use the jeans /trousers/basics only for a specific time and maybe give it to someone else who is Pregnant, from my personal experience, it was not wise to invest in costly maternity clothes.
Keep in mind , it may be a difficult 9 months Fashion and Body wise but a wonderful journey a woman can go through! So be proud of your growing Belly because it is serving as a “ home” to your baby.
Enjoy Your Pregnancy
